Google Analytics - The Basics (Video)

Here is a handy video on Google Analytics that walks you through the basic stats that you should be reviewing about your website. A great little helper for those getting started with Google Analytics on their site and an essential tool for any search engine optimisation or marketing campaign.

Google announces update to sitemaps

Google has announced that website owners can now submit one sitemap containing various content types as opposed to having to submit various individual sitemaps. Website administrators will still have to abide by the previous limits of 50,000 URL’s or 10Mb when submitting a sitemap.xml file however Google has made the update in order to simplify the process of organising and submitting sitemaps to the search engine.

If you would like to find out about whether your site has an up to date sitemap submitted to Google, head on over to our seo services page and see how RPM Interactive can help your business with this and other areas that will grow your site visibility.

SEO with Advanced Web Ranking and Link Manager

In today’s web environment any business that launches a digital presence without thought to optimising for search engines is ill placed to reap the rewards that comes from being online.

User behaviour has adapted with the web and people’s habits are no longer formed around print directories, direct marketing mail or the hundred and one other ways businesses of all sizes promoted their wares. This is not to take the stand point that these methods don’t work, but rather that often users will then go and search for a business to find out more information and review their options - if you business then can’t be found on Google, Bing or Yahoo you are doing yourself a disservice and a sale!

Any person who works in the area of search engine optimisation (SEO) or even for those looking to do it themselves, need to be able to set some benchmarks for their performance… and whilst there is a lot of debate about how best to do this, ultimately it comes back to driving relevant traffic through from improved search engine rankings.

Now ask anyone in this area how to measure these and prepare yourself for all sorts of reply. Personally I have tested a multitude of online and desktop ranking and backlink analysis tools. Many fall short (some by a long way) however if you are serious about your work, and want a tool that works on multiple platforms, then you may have found an answer in two products from Caphyon: Advanced Web Ranking & Advanced Link Monitor.
